What are the criteria needed to be selected when applying for job tickets?
We apply the 1st come, 1st serve concept. We will forward your profile right after you apply for any job ticket, and it will also depend on the customers’ approval. So be convincing in pitching yourself in the comment field for every job application.
What are the requirements to become a Tutor-Partner?
I have applied for a few job tickets, but they are still pending. May I know why?
The approval for any application will usually take around 12 hours to 5 working days. Our PIC will contact you directly to inform you if the application is approved and you can check through the job ticket if your application is rejected.
What's next if my SifuTutor application is accepted? Do I need to fill out forms or prepare any documentation?

Our administrative staff will be in touch with you to complete a brief set of questions and you will need to submit a short sound recording of yourself reciting a specific Surah. Upon your successful completion of the quiz, we will request your identification card and formal photo.
Can I apply for more than one job ticket?
Yes, you can apply for as many job tickets as you wish as long as you have confidence in teaching those subjects.

Payments
I want to know if SifuTutor or parents handle payments.
All payments are administered by SifuTutor. We ensure that payments to Tutor-Partners are safe. We want Tutor-Partners to focus on what they do best, which is teaching. Tutor-Partners are paid based on completed hourly tutoring wage. Learn more about Tutor-Partner’s payment structure HERE.
Does SifuTutor charge any other fees?
RM100 is required upon confirmation of your first class only and will be reimbursed once you resign with a one-month notice resignation letter.
Does SifuTutor provide EPF and PERKESO contributions for Tutor-Partner?
We don’t provide any EPF and PERKESO contributions to all Tutor-Partners, but the government introduced the PenjanaGig to ensure the social security and welfare of the Self-Employed involving gig economy employment activities. When should I expect my payment to be transferred?
Your payment will be transferred within the first two weeks of the following month.
Apart from an hourly wage, what type of payment does SifuTutor offer?
We offered two types of bonus payments. Once you reach your first 40 hours of physical class, you are entitled to get RM200. Apart from that, we also offered monthly bonuses for our Tutor-Partners! Learn more HERE.
For the one-time bonus payment, can I include the teaching hours from all students or is it specifically from one student?
For the first 40 hours bonus, you can include your total teaching hours from all students.
If I set class attendance manually, will it affect my monthly payment?
Yes, Tutor-Partners who set class attendance manually will receive payment within the second week of the following month.

Does SifuTutor provide any training for their Tutor-Partners?
Here at SifuTutor, we always believe that an investment in knowledge pays the best interest. Thus, we hold tutor training sessions regularly to ensure the competency of all Tutor-Partners.
Is SifuTutor considered as the employer for Tutor-Partners?
No. You are your own boss and SifuTutor only provides teaching opportunities to all Tutor-Partners.
Can Tutor-Partners claim the expenses on petrol, toll and teaching materials?
No, because we already included the claim payment in the hourly wages.
Can I be a part-time Tutor-Partner with SifuTutor?
Yes, you are welcome to be part of us either as a full-time or part-time since we offer a flexible tutoring opportunity for everyone.
Do I need to prepare the teaching materials or will SifuTutor provide any materials for Tutor-Partners?
We don’t provide any teaching materials for our Tutor-Partners but you can contact our tutor coordinators directly for guidance on how to prepare suitable teaching materials.
What does “sessions” mean in the SifuTutor app?
The word “sessions” means how many sessions for each student per month and the ticket will provide detailed information about the hours required per session.
What is the difference between auto and manual attendance?
What is the difference between long-term and short-term classes?
Long-term class is when the customer does not set any duration for the class and for a short-term class, the customer will ask for at least 3 months of class duration.
Is there any report that I need to submit for the students?
Yes. Two reports are due: Student Evaluation Report and the Student Progress Report. The Student Evaluation Report has four sections: Knowledge, Understanding, Analysis, and Additional Assessment. Every March, June, September, and December, tutors must submit a Student Progress Report compiling a 3-month teaching report.
Is there any penalty if I submit my report late?
If the required documents are not submitted by the deadline, a 10% penalty will be assessed.
